Hi! I’m Lauren Cadillac, aka the Feel Good Dietitian. I'm a Manhattan-based Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer. My approach focuses first on feeling good; improving mood, sleep, digestion, energy, performance in the gym and at work, and truly optimizing the lives of my clients. I offer nutrition coaching and personal training both in-person and virtually.
From the time I was in High School, I knew I wanted to spend my life helping others improve their health and well-being. After graduating from Penn State University with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences, I completed a 1200-hour supervised practice, dietetic internship through The College of Saint Elizabeth. My first job as a RD (Registered Dietitian) was in an acute-care hospital working with patients with diabetes, renal disease, COPD, heart disease, tube feedings, wound healing needs and those in critical care.
In 2014, I started competing in the bikini division of the National Physique Committee. In the 2.5 years I competed I managed to take home first place and the overall title at multiple shows and even won first place at a national show (Jr. USA's -finishing 1 spot away from achieving "pro status").
Towards the end of 2015, I decided to fuse my love for nutrition and passion for competing/fitness and become a Certified Personal Trainer. After climbing the ranks of the fitness ladder and becoming a Tier 3+ Equinox Trainer, I realized I was receiving a lot of client feedback regarding our sessions as "therapy". Human motivation, self-awareness and exploration are what drive lasting health and wellness behavior changes. Aren't those the areas we should focus on? I began asking myself “what is it that all of my clients have in common?….What is it that all people really want?”
We want to be listened to, accepted, understood, supported and cared about. We want more energy and fun, less stress and discomfort, better sleep and an overall sense of well-being. We want to spend more time doing the things we love and enjoy a long healthy life. All in all, we want to FEEL GOOD, hence the “Feel Good Dietitian”. My approach is not restrictive, harsh or militant. I do not provide cookie cutter meal plans or diets. I help my clients make peace with food, foster self-compassion and regain trust in their bodies. We spend time discussing issues outside of the realm of nutrition that often go overlooked (but impact our eating habits very much so), such as self-care, self-talk and stress relief. I create a strong relationship with my clients that serves as a vehicle for change. I’m here to offer motivation, support and guidance to help my clients achieve their goals and live a FEEL GOOD life!
“Lauren is a fantastic Dietitian/Nutritionist/Wellness Coach. Through Lauren's coaching and motivation, I was able to jump-start my transition back to a healthier lifestyle. Lauren delivered everything I was initially expecting, such as direction around food choices, portion control, meal times, etc. But why I would recommend Lauren is because she does so much more than those basic things. We developed a program based on my personal preferences then worked together closely to make sure I was feeling good and accomplishing my personal goals. Lauren was great at listening to my feedback and adjusting my program to meet my needs. Overall, I could not be happier with my experience with Lauren. As someone who said they wanted to live healthier and get back in shape for years, I have Lauren to thank for finally doing it.” -G.J
“Excellent Trainer. I've been working with Lauren since 2016 and I'm achieving my goals. She listens, has a deep understanding of her craft, pushes me to achieve the best out of our sessions, and has a great attitude/personality.” - J.T.
“An incredible trainer that has the patience and aptitude to work with all skill levels. I started training with Lauren two years ago, and she helped me to achieve my fitness goals. While I had experience with Pilates, strength training was new to me. Lauren's coaching style enabled me to build up my confidence level and stay motivated. She partners with you on what you hope to achieve and tailors the workouts accordingly. Funny, engaging and enthusiastic, Lauren is a pleasure to train with each week!
This is the best investment in myself, to live a strong, healthy life.” -C.M.
“No question Lauren is an amazing nutritionist. She always listens to my needs and comes up with an eating plan that works with my hectic schedule and somewhat picky eating habits. She is also so knowledgeable about food alternatives and the benefits of everything she recommends. She is super respondent to feedback and very patient with my questions.” -A.K.
“Before I started working with Lauren, I had tried it all: shakes, teas, intermittent fasting ... you name it. I was in a place where I was very unmotivated to work out after all the fad workouts I had tried. I first discovered Lauren through a buddy at work who had amazing results after working with her. So I pulled the trigger after much hesitation and started seeing Lauren twice a week and it CHANGED MY LIFE.
Lauren is fun, positive, friendly, encouraging, intense, and a passionate trainer. She helps me live up to my potential each week. Lauren has shown me that I am strong both physically and mentally. She always pushes me to prove that to myself. Each session feels fresh, new, challenging and targeted to my goals. My sessions with Lauren have become moments in my week that I look forward to in order to take a break from all the crazy stress of my life.” -K.D.
“Lauren and I met when I was really struggling with depression and anxiety and that's when she changed my life. For over a year, Lauren has been my physical trainer, nutritionist and friend! I am feeling so much better these days and I know it's largely because of Lauren's positive assistance. If you need a boost in your mental and physical health, definitely see Lauren! You won't regret it!” - G.P.
